i was walking down the halls at work today and i overheard a conversation. it reminded me that working in an office is really as stupid as Dilbert. no offense to Scott Adams. but seriously. not. funny.

i'm sleepy today...

so i watched Coraline, finally, this weekend. that movie is seriously equivalent to stop motion porn. it's just a really weak plot so they have an excuse to show gratuitous stop motion. 

anyway, i also saw Up, which was phenomenal. great plot, excellent character animation, a bit of a sexist design on some in part, and a blatant continuity issue, but nobody's perfect. 

i think i'm gonna go see it again...

hey, it's the last friday of the month, and that means i'm in a good mood because it's off to critical mass! if you didn't know already, it's just a big ol', dumb ol', fun ol', obnoxious ol' bike ride around town! for everyone! we leave from daley plaza at "5:30" (6:15) and hoot/holler. 

also, i'm workin' on that piggie, but i'm not gonna post it again until i'm done, which should be some time this weekend, i hope. it's gross :)  okeedoke, i may not post 'til monday, so go fly a kite! (really, i'm planning on doing just that, this weekend!)

swine flu: again?...

i got an email today saying something about swine flu being in chicago, and being a "big deal" again. it's not, but i think it's funny how we feel comfortable freaking out about things, as a society. it inspired me to start a drawing, but i'm not sure exactly where i'm taking it yet. here's what i have so far, though. you know, for fun...

these are some sock puppets i drew a while ago when i should've been working. i had this big idea about painting sock puppets as bureaucracy, but, as many ideas do, it fizzled. or maybe it's back burning.
